The mission of SafeBeat is to provide affordable, high-quality preventative heart screenings to middle and high school children in an effort to reduce sudden cardiac death due to undetected heart conditions.

  • Most heart defects are not typically detected by the traditional physician's examination, but our non-invasive heart screening can help identify those most at risk.
  • Majority of sudden cardiac death among youth had no prior documented symptom. The first symptom was the fatal collapse.
  • American Heart Association states that the ECG screening outperforms the AHA 14- point questionnaire by all measures of statistical performance when interpreted by experienced clinicians. The AHA further states that cardiovascular screening using only the American Heart Association 14-point evaluation will miss the majority of athletes with conditions at risk of sudden cardiac death.
  • According to American Heart Association, each year approximately 7,000 young Americans ages 6-18 die from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The addition of ECG to history and physical is 6 times more likely to detect a cardiovascular condition associated with Sudden Cardiac Death than without.

Screenings will be conveniently provided at your child's school, during the day so there is no need for you to take off of work or for them to miss school. All you have to do is fill out the online questionnaire & consent in advance.

SafeBeat’s services is valued over $1,500 per child but provided to you onsite for the low cost of $50 per child.
