On Monday afternoon, Logan Trout died following cross country practice at Brownsburg High School. The junior suffered a "medical emergency" during practice and was transported to the hospital where he later passed away.

Coaches and athletic trainers supplied emergency care until responders arrived, per the IndyStar report. No official cause of death has been publicly said at this time.

Trout had just began his junior year at Brownsburg High School on the Westside of Indianapolis. He was a member of the Junior Varsity squad, holding a cross country PR of 19:31.30.

Our thoughts go out to the Trout family and the entire Brownsburg community as they go through this challenging time.
