Austin Bryant

Austin Bryant attended Thomas County Central High School in Thomasville, Georgia. It was there that he committed to Clemson University to play college football with the Tigers.

During his time with Clemson, as a true freshman in 2015, Bryant played in 13 games, recording 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He missed the first six games of his sophomore season in 2016, due to a foot injury, but returned from injury to record 12 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Bryant became a starter for the first time his junior year in 2017. In 2018 Clemson won their fourth consecutive ACC title by defeating Pittsburgh in the ACC Championship Game. On defense, the team was anchored by a highly touted, veteran defensive line which consisted of Bryant and several other notable players Clelin Ferrell, Christian Wilkins, and Dexter Lawrence—all of whom were subsequently drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Bryant was selected by the Detroit Lions in the fourth round. Since joining the Lion, Bryant has already recorded 25 tackles.
