SafeBeat is a National Initiative that establishes local Heart Screening and Emergency Action Planning programs in an effort to prevent sudden death in youth and adolescents throughout America’s public school systems. Our mission is that no family suffers the loss of a child because of sudden cardiac arrest.
In February, 2018 our collaboration with local hospitals, medical professionals, schools, individuals and business sponsors will allow us to bring our awareness campaigns, ECG-based heart-screening programs and customized emergency plans and training to the Okefenokee community.
Your participation will benefit SafeBeat and the middle and high school students in the following participating school districts in the Okefenokee region: Ware ~ Charlton ~ Brantley ~ Pierce
A special thank you to Ware County Superintendent, Jim LeBrun, and the staff of Ware County School District for their unwavering assistance in hosting our screening event.
