About Us
Our Vision
To transform, through education, people’s
belief that sudden cardiac arrest caused by
cardiac arrhythmia syndromes is far from “rare”
and that it is a serious disease state affecting
the adolescent athlete and the young American
population all across this country.
By educating the population to the value of
proactive prevention through heart screening,
we will “inform those not yet informed” so that
in 2010 those “not yet informed will now be
among the fully informed”.
Our Mission
CASF has three primary goals:
- To educate, advocate and facilitate
prevention of Sudden Cardiac Arrest
due to cardiac arrhythmias through
heart screening
- Offer resources for treatment after
detection and support for those afflicted
and/or who have already lost a loved
one(s)
- Provide funding for the economically
disadvantaged
"No Child Will Ever be Denied Screening
Based Upon Ability to Pay".
"A Waiver of Fees equals Screening for Free"
“Screening Hearts & Saving
Lives”
Preventive heart screening services
including:
- ECG (electrocardiogram) screening
- Family and personal heart health
questionnaire
- Blood pressure reading
- Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation
(estimates body mass based on height
and weight)
- Total Cholesterol, HDL, and glucose
reading (optional and when applicable)
Screening Programs
CASF prides itself on offering screening
programs that are convenient, painless, non-
invasive and affordable with minimal
disruption of the locations' daily routine. Our
contracted, certified medical staff is highly
trained and performs to the highest of
medical standards.
We offer two direct to consumer programs:
- Community Sponsored: A city, town,
board of health, sports teams, civic
group, church group, synagogue, mall
and others can sponsor group
screenings.
- Educational Institutions: Colleges,
primary and secondary schools or
school systems can arrange for
screening of all of their students or
certain grades.
All you have to provide is the space and
electricity - we provide the rest, including
advertising, education, enrollment, collection,
setup, testing and cleanup.
Example "Screening Center"
In the event that an "abnormal urgent"
condition is identified during the screening,
CASF has the ability to bring a cardiologist into
the screening booth for consultation with
parent/guardian.
